About the job

Working in a multi-disciplinary team, you will:

• Provide a full range of professional, culturally and gender-responsive social work services
• Coordinate and facilitate the case management process
• Provide clinical assessment, crisis intervention and specialized treatment services for complex cases
• Provide input into individual goal development
• Develop and deliver evidence-based programs
• Conduct individual, family and group counseling and treatment sessions
• Liaise with family and community organizations

What you bring to the team

Mandatory requirements

• Master of Social Work or Bachelor of Social Work degree with significant post graduate supervised social work experience
• Registration in good standing with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• You have demonstrated experience applying social work theories, principles and practices, including assessment processes, developing and implementing rehabilitative treatment plans and programs
• You have demonstrated knowledge and expertise in case management and clinical planning
• You have knowledge of community resources
• You have knowledge of adolescent development, processes, theories, therapeutic interventions, gender specific programming and issues related to at-risk/high risk youth
• You have knowledge of relevant legislation

Communication, Analytical, Organizational and Computer Skills

• You have oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
• You have proven presentation, facilitation and group leadership skills
• You have analytical and problem solving skills
• You have strong organizational and planning skills
• You have knowledge of computers, including word processing, database and internet applications
