What can I expect to do in this role?
• Support short and long term capital investment planning by conducting economic modelling and analysis that informs management decision-making;
• Undertake analysis of various aspects of Aviation Services such as aircraft assets, building infrastructure, human resources planning, and organizational design by asking probing questions, reviewing business process flow, and building relationships with section clients, stakeholders and vendors;
• Apply business analysis techniques and methodologies such as Kaisan, Lean, others in order to establish and benchmark section performance against industry Key Performance Indicators;
• Make regular presentations to the Aviation Management Team by way of options analysis, reports, analytical and technical advice, and working recommendations based on collaborative research, and a sound understanding of options and their associated economic implications;
How do I qualify?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Communication Skills in order to facilitate working meetings, asking probing questions, listen intently to stakeholder input, and to absorb what is being said in both face-to-face and virtual settings (MS Teams, Conference Calls, other web meeting platforms);
• Expert knowledge of computer software particularly in the area of spreadsheeting, database manipulation, report writing, and presentation software;
• Problem-Solving skills in order to facilitate subject matter expert teams to solve technical challenges, determine project scope, and negotiate between multiple business areas with competing interests;
• Critical Thinking skills in order to capture stakeholder needs, critically consider those needs, ask questions until the real needs are exposed and understood, and then to help team members and subject matter experts settle on a solution or range of solutions;
• Knowledge of worker responsibilities as outlines in the Occupational Health and Safety Act;

There is no public transit access to this facility. Must have own method of transportation to and from the workplace. Current Covid-19 restrictions may require position to work remotely from home until back to work clearance has been received.
Eligibility
• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada;
• Has graduated or will graduate from an approved or legally authorized college or university with a degree, postgraduate certificate or diploma within the last four years;
• Candidates are only eligible to participate in one MNRF 12-month placement and must not have participated in the MNRF internship program in the past.
