About the BranchAsset Management Branch - Develops the strategic program and funding requirements, project-level investment strategies, monitors progress towards project-level plans, and creates strategic integration when dealing with projects that cross modes, or that involve new corridors/programs as defined through large policy/needs assessment exercises.

What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role you will:
• Prepares, monitor, update and adjust the Regional multi-year Capital Construction program
• Monitor expenditures, assess and recommend adjustments to the program
• Update tendering data and schedules.
• Coordinate priorities and analyze information to assess program needs
• Provide regular liaison with other offices
• Prepare reports on the program, scheduling, status, and costing of projects.
• Administer the Capital Delivery Management System (data base)
How do I qualify?
Technical Knowledge
• You have knowledge of the pre-contract engineering processes, timelines and constraints to access schedule impact and slippage
• You have knowledge of engineering and construction practices to assess constraints and impact on schedules and procurement
Proven Essential Skills
• You have planning, and organizational and time management skills to track priorities, financial allocations, project cost and schedule changes.
• You have interpersonal and negotiation skills to deal diplomatically with staff while seeking consensus on competing interests, and advocating schedule compliance.
• You have communication, presentation and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated Knowledge and Abilities
• You have knowledge of budgetary processes including funding allocations, expenditure control, and capital planning cycle
• You have knowledge of various computer software and applications to analyze, organize, manipulate, retrieve, store data and present material using different software packages (e.g. word processing, advanced spreadsheet, presentation, reports, and specialized investment/economic software).
