What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:
• providing general financial, administrative and clerical support to a business team and regional management team;
• being an integral member of a finance team that provides services to a large diverse region;
• providing a wide range of financial and controllership activities including accounts payable, electronic transfer payments, verification, reconciliation, interpreting Integrated Financial Information Systems (IFIS) reports, procurement and contract management;
•communicating and interacting with various internal staff and external ministry partners including transfer payment agencies.

How do I qualify?

Mathematical and Analytical Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to use your analytical, evaluative, and mathematical skills to verify claims, invoices and cash flow payments to Agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to use your problem solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies and provide feedback on new business processes.

Administrative Experience and Computer Proficiency:

• Effective time management, prioritization and administrative skills to support the business team and work closely with the program team.
• Proven knowledge and strong experience in computer applications for example (Microsoft Office, including Excel, Integrated Financial Information Systems (IFIS), Service Management Integrated System (SMIS), Transfer Payment Allocation System (TPAS), Enterprise Content Management).

Financial Knowledge:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with financial policies, practices and procedures and financial controllership functions related to Other Direct Operating Expenditures (ODOE) and Transfer Payment (TP).

Communication, Organizational Skills and Interpersonal Skills:

• You can provide excellent customer service and explain relevant administrative and financial processes.
• You have effective oral and written communication and proven interpersonal skills to complete correspondence and work in a team environment.
• You have proven organizational skills to set priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
