What can I expect to do in this role?

Your role will include:
- Calculating and processing payment requests for direct operating expenditures (DOE) and transfer payments (TP)
- Analyzing and reconciling financial reports and resolving discrepancies
- Liaising with contacts to clarify financial data, explain accounting procedures and transactions and ensure payment deadlines are met
- Establishing and maintaining computerized reporting systems.

How do I qualify?

Financial Knowledge and Skills:

- you have demonstrated working knowledge of financial analysis methods and techniques
- you have proven ability to understand, interpret and apply knowledge of financial and accounting polices, procedures and systems
- you have demonstrated working knowledge and competencies with financial processing, monitoring, and analysis of financial data for reconciliation purposes

Analytical and Organizational Skills:

- you can review financial data and identify and resolve discrepancies
- you can reconcile financial statements to approved budgets
- you can review and monitor procurement of supplies and services and to review purchase orders
- you have organizational skills to maintain filing systems

Technical Skills:

- you are proficient with computer software programs, including database management and spreadsheet software
- you have an understanding of financial reporting systems to support financial analysis, reconciliation and payments

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

- you can effectively liaise with contacts to clarify data, explain procedures and transactions
- you can prepare responses to inquiries and assist in the preparation of financial procedures and reports
