As an Editorial Lead, you will manage and coordinate editorial and translation projects. Your leadership and project management skills will be essential to the success of our editorial services.

About the job

In this role, you will:
• coordinate and manage editorial and translation projects for timely, accurate execution
• assign and monitor editorial resources, resolving issues and escalating as needed
• oversee projects from submission to completion, ensuring budget and timelines are met
• manage vendors, negotiating timelines and ensuring on-time delivery
• lead client consultations to define scope, deliverables, and timelines
• guide project teams and support the ongoing transition to digital tools
• assess workflows, updating policies and recommending enhancements
• build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and vendors, managing requirements and resolving issues

What you bring to the team

Project management skills:

You can:
• demonstrate knowledge of project management and collaboration tools
• coordinate and manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity
• monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues related to timelines, deadlines, and deliverables
• provide advice and recommendations to the manager on workflow and process enhancements for increased efficiency
• negotiate and manage timelines, schedules, and milestones
• lead projects and provide guidance to project team members, colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors
• review vendor invoices to ensure contract compliance before recommending approval

Analytical and problem-solving skills:

You can:
• identify and resolve project issues related to timelines, deadlines, and deliverables
• work with editorial team members and clients to understand and resolve editorial and/or translation issues
• escalate complex or significant matters to the manager as required
• offer solutions to the manager to resolve identified issues within required timelines and budget
• identify resource and contract service requirements

Relationship management skills:

You can:
• build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• work with executives on project activities
• liaise with external vendors to negotiate service requirements for editorial and translation projects
• participate in interdisciplinary teams, deliver project updates, and lead meetings

Organization and prioritization skills:

You can:
• prioritize and track multiple requests within tight timelines to ensure deliverables are met.
• manage internal and external resources to ensure timelines are met.
