Are you looking for a challenge that will put your project management and consultation skills to the test? Consider this opportunity with the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, eHealth Liason Branch, where you will provide leadership and consultation on eHealth projects that support the eHealth accountability framework, structures and processes for the delivery of the eHealth agenda in Ontario.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• Ensure projects are aligned with ministry strategic directions, business plans, priorities and information management strategies and standards
• Provide overall project coordination, issues management and consolidate regular and ad hoc reporting
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on content and submission of key documents, oversight of deliverables and operational management of systems
• Provide advice and recommendations on contentious issues relating to coordination and implementation of projects and manage risks, issues and opportunties

How do I qualify?

Information Management Knowledge

• You have knowledge of information management and administrative policies related to procurement, privacy, records management, audit and integrity
• You can lead project interdependencies between ministries and eHealth agencies to address issues and support information flow
• You can monitor system performance and identify opportunities to increase the use of information systems

Healthcare Knowledge

• You have knowledge of the external health sector environment and eHealth issues
• You are aware of strategic directions and new initiatives of eHealth, health-related legislation and regulations
• You have knowledge of government mandates and approval and decision making structures

Project Management, Leadership and Analytical Skills

• You have knowledge of contract management and procurement policies and practices
• You have project and change management experience to coordinate and monitor projects
• You can manage project timelines and provide advice on the resolution of information issues
• You can review progress reports, identify issues and assess risks

Communication and Consultation Skills

• You can establish effective consultation between all levels of staff and external stakeholders
• You can represent the Branch and respond to information requests by communicating complex information in a clear and concise manner

Computer Skills

• You are proficient with the Internet and computer software applications to conduct research, prepare correspondence, letters, reports and presentations
