Are you a strong leader with experience in developing and evaluating strategic funding policies for Ontario's health care system? If so, than this may be the opportunity for you!

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this challenging role, you will:
• Design and implement strategic funding policies
• Provide expertise and team leadership to staff
• Determine and assign project priorities for project teams that support the allocation of funding across program areas
• Provide subject matter expertise and input to education and training programs
• Build strong linkages for project initiatives by ensuring effective partnerships are developed and maintained
• Lead the provision of specialized policy and health economic research and evidence

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge

• You have an understanding of the policy development and research methodology process
• You have experience in applying funding and quantitative methodologies
• You can provide strategic funding policy expertise and authoritative advice on a broad range of health economic issues

Leadership Skills

• You can lead the research, development and evaluation of funding policies and practices for funding Ontario's health care system
• You can design and implement strategies to effect cultural change regarding funding policies and practices
• You can provide strategic planning and leadership of the branch's multiple project initiatives
• You can provide daily oversight of the unit

Research and Analytical Skills

• You can assess and determine the outcome of research and analysis recommendations by staff
• You can analyze and evaluate complex allocation strategies and statistical data

Communication Skills

• You can lead the development of briefings, presentations, proposals, and submissions for consideration by senior management
• You can effectively influence change and decision-making and present well-substantiated recommendations
