You could be the perfect fit to provide specialist-level analysis, advice and guidance for the financial governance of the Family Responsibility Office's external bank account and internal accounting processes.

What can I expect to do in this role?

• Research and develop new financial analytical practices and processes
• Help strengthen the management of financial transactions and external bank accounts
• Lead and participate in the monthly reconciliation of the general ledger accounts and special projects and initiatives, client consultations, committees and work groups
• Develop strategies for implementing new accountability reporting procedures and controls

How do I qualify?

Financial Management and Accounting Knowledge

• You know cash and accrual accounting methodologies, revenue/expenditure management and auditing principles, and accountability framework mechanisms in order to provide specialist-level expertise, advice, and technical guidance to the Division
• You have knowledge of financial management principles and practices to ensure provision of strong financial systems and controls as well as effective management of banking operations

Research, Analytical, Evaluation, and Problem-Solving Skills

• You can participate in researching and developing policies, procedures, and related control and monitoring programs and initiatives
• You can analyze options and cost projections to make recommendations to support management decision-making
• You can develop and recommend solutions to complex problems
• You can acquire knowledge of and interpret/apply relevant legislation and policies in order to provide input into policy development

Communication, Organizational, and Project Planning Skills

• You have experience preparing complex reports, papers, and briefing materials
• You can clearly communicate advice and recommendations
• You can support the development of operational and accounting policies and procedures
• You can provide expertise and leadership to project team members

Computer Skills

• You are proficient with word processing, spreadsheets and presentation media to develop recommendations and supporting materials
