The Labour and Transportation I&IT Cluster, Highways and Corporate Support Solutions Office, needs an innovative and energetic professional to work within the ministry's state-of-the-art, multi-tiered computing environment where you will utilize host technologies.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• provide consultation and second level support
• develop, manage and coordinate computer application and development projects
• provide systems development expertise on strategic projects
• conduct business analysis
• evaluate and negotiate vendors' proposals and recommend selection

How do I qualify?

Project Management and Team Leadership Skills:

- You have the demonstrated ability to lead technical teams on large projects with multiple partners/stakeholders
- You have demonstrated planning and organizational skills to meet a variety of project deadlines and objectives

Consulting and Communication Skills:

- You have the demonstrated ability to provide consultation, advice, information and strategic recommendations to clients on the acquisition/development of technology
- You effectively build and maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
- You have the demonstrated ability to prepare and present written reports

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:

- You have the demonstrated ability to design and develop software code compatible with client needs
- You have the demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues

Technical Skills:

- You have knowledge of computer system technologies (operating systems, application software, customized software, networks) and of large scale systems analysis, design and development, information architecture and data modeling, programming concepts and languages, internet technology and emerging technologies.
