What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
• develop, implement and monitor pharmaceutical services and drug management programs
• provide leadership and coordination for the issues management function for the Branch
• prepare briefings and responses to contentious issues
• provide guidance to program managers in meeting program requirements
• conduct research and analysis on policy and program development issues
• develop policy and program options and recommendations based on analysis of relevant factors

How do I qualify?

Specialized Knowledge:

• you know policy and program development techniques and related government processes to make recommendations
• you can develop responses to issues using innovation, synthesis and analytical skills
• you understand the health care system and the relationships between health programs and projects to respond to contentious issues

Project Leadership and Stakeholder Management Skills:

• you can coordinate issues and program development within project deadlines
• you understand the roles of stakeholders in order to develop effective communication strategies

Communication and Consultation Skills:

• you can prepare policy, program and communication proposals and write training material
• you can discuss complex policy issues with management and stakeholders using consultation and communication skills
• you can develop and implement strategies to promote and distribute communications about programs

    Note: As a result of the recently agreed to AMAPCEO collective agreement, a new job evaluation system will be implemented on October 1, 2013. In the new job evaluation system, the classification level of this position is Level 4 with a salary range of $60,650.00 - $82,250.00
