What can I expect to do in this role?

As the Service Delivery Manager you will:

• Provide leadership and direction, in an assigned geographic area, for the establishment of a service delivery framework for provincial employment programs and services, including human resources interventions, income support assistance, and outreach within the community and/or communities;
• Provide clients with access to effective labour market services;
• Manage the office operations and multi-disciplinary staff within a team environment, including accountability for a large program budget;
• Lead in the development of local strategies, and activities to support the delivery of responsive employment programs and services to the public, aligned with emerging priorities, market conditions and government directions.

How do I qualify?

Leadership & Management Skills:

• You can manage and motivate staff to achieve results;
• You can evaluate and appraise staff performance;
• You effectively manage labour relations through knowledge of collective agreements, legislation, policies and best practices;
• You can set goals and priorities based on an organizational mandate and vision.

Program Management, Operational & Strategic Planning Experience:

• You have experience in developing and leading high-performing teams;
• You have experience in establishing positive working relationships with community organizations;
• You have experience in leading the delivery of programs and services through both staff and transfer payment agencies;
• You have experience reviewing and analyzing community-based service programs.
• You have experience in implementing office procedures that ensure program targets are met resulting in high quality program services;
• You have experience managing operations within an office environment.
• You have experience reviewing and analyzing programs such as community-based services.

Program Knowledge:

• You have demonstrated knowledge of risk-based program delivery, transfer payment accountability and community development;
• You can lead the delivery of programs and services using a performance management approach;
• You have knowledge of various computer applications and program databases including information management systems to measure the effectiveness of program and service delivery.
