Bring your knowledge of appraisals, negotiations and land management to the Ministry of Transportation's Property Section.

The Ministry of Transportation is seeking a motivated individual to plan, complete, supervise and coordinate the delivery of property related services. Services include appraisals, negotiations, property sales, leasing and interim management.

What can I expect to do in this role?

Providing leadership and technical expertise, you will:

• coordinate, complete and/or direct staff and consultants for all property related activities
• represent the ministry and advise staff in negotiations
• hire consultants and contractors
• coordinate financial resources

How do I qualify?

Technical knowledge:

• proven knowledge and experience in the theories and practices of land valuation, negotiations and land management
• knowledge of real estate market conditions and trends
• knowledge of environmental issues
• ability to interpret and apply legislation governing the acquisition of real estate for public purposes such as the Expropriations Act
• thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques and practices endorsed by the Appraisal Institute of Canada and the International Right of Way Association

General skills:

• organizational, analytical and planning skills
• interpersonal, negotiation, consulting, and communication skills
• proven leadership and project management skills
• knowledge of personal computers and software
