Consider this opportunity with ServiceOntario's I&IT Cluster where you will lead and manage a high performing team of architects delivering quality and cost effective solutions and associated architectures for multiple, concurrent business critical projects for ServiceOntario and its partner ministries.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• lead a high-performing team of IT architects comprised of staff and contract resources
• manage a large portfolio of project architecture deliverables to ensure high quality/low cost solutions delivered on-time and on-budget
• demonstrate leadership in developing tools, processes, methodologies and patterns to manage, optimize and govern the cluster business and system/solution architectures
• maintain the architecture asset inventory of re-usable tools, technologies and patterns
• present cluster projects at corporate and cluster gating committees
• participate and represent the cluster at corporate and cluster gating committees
• participate in the development of strategic roadmaps
• participate and demonstrate leadership in evolving and optimizing enterprise architecture processes and governance

How do I qualify?

Knowledge of Current Technologies and Architecture Standards

• You have experience and proven ability to deliver high quality architectures to a variety of projects and covering a broad range of technologies
• You have experience and proven ability in all aspects of architecture including: business, information, application, security and technology architecture including applicable methods, techniques and tools in order to create relevant architectural deliverables: business, logical and physical
• You have knowledge of emerging IT technologies, trends as well I&IT strategies, plans, standards and directives to ensure solution compliance to policy and legislative requirements

Consulting and Relationship Management Skills

• You have experience and the ability to plan, coordinate and manage all phases of delivery of multiple large scale and long range consulting projects/services
• You have consulting skills to develop, implement, manage, and monitor consultative services with a focus on providing superior customer service
• You have relationship management skills to establish/maintain good working relationships with various stakeholders
• You have negotiation skills to establish and manage client service agreements
• You have a successful track record for high quality project deliverables through establishment of quality standards and expectations

Leadership and Communication Skills

• You have experience leading and managing a high-performing technical team comprised of both full time staff and contract resources in a matrix environment and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
• You have excellent presentation skills with the ability to express architecture deliverables in business friendly formats
• You have communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with I&IT management, clients, staff and other project stakeholders

Portfolio, Project and Resource Management Skills

• You have project management skills to effectively manage multiple, complex large-scale projects (ex. planning, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring and controlling)
• You have the ability to develop and negotiate project/services plans and/or budgets, and to acquire and manage the architecture resources, including external resources (e.g. contract staff, consultants)
• You have the experience managing all phases of projects/services including implementation, resolving issues, measuring performance, and providing experienced technical advice and guidance to clients and project staff
