Are you interested in an opportunity to put your extensive business analyst skills and IT experience to good use? Then consider working for the Provincial Schools Branch where you will provide business analysis leadership and expertise for I&IT projects.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• provide advice and recommendations for the design, development and implementation of new enhancements
• plan and lead consultations and workshops, and review and confirm business requirements and processes
• coordinate user acceptance testing
• identify potential implementation issues and risks, provide input and recommendations and identify client impacts
• liaise with contractors regarding system design, development standards, processes and approaches

How do I qualify?

Technical knowledge and skills:

You have:
• demonstrated knowledge of I&IT technology and trends, (i.e. hardware, software, networks, data, applications, networking, security tools) and techniques and methods
• ability to perform and complete business and systems analysis, consultation, information management, design, development and testing, including completion of implementation and installation related tasks
• ability to acquire and apply knowledge of relevant legislation and directives governing I&IT to ensure integrity of business analysis project deliverables
• proficiency with common computer programs, software, databases and internet

Interpersonal and communication skills:

You have:
• proven oral communication skills to work effectively with clients and provide technical guidance and advice
• demonstrated business relationship, interpersonal and client service skills to lead consultations and build consensus
• written communication skills

Analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills:

You have:
• well developed analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills to deal with client requirements and issues, and provide options and recommend solutions
• ability to translate client business requirements into functional and informational documentation
• demonstrated project management skills to plan, lead, facilitate and conduct project activities
