Do you have exceptional leadership skills? The Ministry of Government Services requires a self-starting IT professional to manage complex business systems projects and operational processes relating to the government's Integrated Financial Information System (IFIS).

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• lead and manage project teams comprised of inter-disciplinary functional resources, service providers and external consultants
• ensure successful delivery of projects on time and within budget
• develop project plans, systems integration methodologies, Requests for Proposals, contracts, product fit analysis, product acquisition, systems integration, customization, conversion, user training, process control, resource planning and production schedules
• prepare multi-year and annual plans for systems support, development and technical infrastructure support
• foster and manage effective partnerships with vendors, suppliers, staff, project team members and interdisciplinary colleagues to facilitate cooperative approaches and mutual business efforts
• implement innovative and creative approaches, opportunities and initiatives for the delivery of high quality, efficient services and products
• manage operational performance and evaluation of productivity and effectiveness of assigned projects
• promote a productive teamwork business environment and customer service culture which fosters the long-term learning and development of others through coaching and training

How do I qualify?

Leadership Skills

• you have experience leading multiple projects concurrently while managing day-to-day operations
• you can promote innovative processes and foster cooperation among clients and technical staff
• you are able to manage unit staff including recruitment, training and staff development, and performance standards

Technical Knowledge

• you demonstrate knowledge of systems analysis and design principles, practices, methods and techniques, including the ability to manage database and application systems, implementation, operations and IT service management disciplines in support of corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, based on Oracle E-Business Suite technology
• you demonstrate knowledge of ERP system integration (e.g. multi-tier database applications architecture, networking and security)
• you demonstrate ability to direct staff in resolution of I&IT problems
• you have knowledge of and experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (e.g. Oracle architecture, development and production environments, methodologies, tools, standards, Oracle applications for core financial management and enhanced reporting)

Project Management and Financial Skills

• you have knowledge of project management techniques and methodology to manage projects and to prepare, implement and configure financial applications and databases
• you demonstrate knowledge of budgeting, planning, scheduling, measuring, monitoring and controlling to effectively manage complex large-scale projects over multiple fiscal years

Communication, Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills

• you are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, stakeholders, clients and staff
• you have experience in developing, negotiating and managing service level agreements with vendors, clients and service delivery partners
• you can develop business cases and Requests for Proposals
