Are you a skilled project manager with on-farm food safety knowledge and a proven ability to inspire high functioning teams?

If so, consider this opportunity with the Food Safety Programs Unit.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• provide strategic leadership and project management on technical food safety projects
• provide critical support to the development and delivery of the Branch's food safety strategies, programs and services
• provide strategic analysis and advice to senior ministry staff and partners on food safety program policies, products and services
• identify, develop and foster strategic relationships across the branch, division, ministry and with external stakeholders

How do I qualify?

Project leadership skills:

• You have superior project management and organizational skills to effectively coordinate, lead and oversee multiple projects.
• You have exceptional leadership skills and the ability to establish a strategic vision to inspire and engage colleagues and stakeholders.

Knowledge:

• You have advanced knowledge, combined with practical experience in food safety theories and practices needed to develop, deliver and implement food safety programs and systems in a variety of agri-food sectors.
• You have applied knowledge of agriculture production and the agri-food industry.

Communication, negotiation and relationship management skills:

• You have excellent communication and knowledge transfer skills to act as an effective resource and prepare a variety of recommendations and reports.
• You are able to consult, build relationships and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders.

Analytical skills:

• You have strong analytical, creative and problem solving skills to assess factual information and formulate innovative strategies and solutions.
