Bring your analytical, project management and knowledge mobilization skills to the Research and Innovation Branch where you will work within the branch and across the division to coordinate various Ministry programs, manage strategic agreements, and assess and communicate their impacts.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• use your advanced academic training and experience to assess and administer research programs and facilitate networks with stakeholders
• identify priorities for Ministry investments and disseminate program information and outcomes
• provide technical program support for research, innovation and commercialization and knowledge translation and transfer to ministry clients and stakeholders
• monitor, assess and report on research and innovation programs

How do I qualify?

Essential knowledge and skills:

• You are a strong communicator (oral and written) with interpersonal and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts, exchange information and prepare research and innovation reports.
• You have knowledge of analytical and evaluation techniques to plan, deliver and assess the effectiveness of research and corporate initiatives and related knowledge management processes.
• You have advanced analytical and problem solving skills to plan and identify suitable research methodologies and analytical techniques.

Technical knowledge:

• You have extensive knowledge of at least one of the following areas: communications, public administration, policy, agri-food research, or knowledge management.
• You have knowledge and understanding of agri-food research and innovation issues.
• You have an understanding of the agri-food research and innovation organizations/stakeholders in Ontario.
• You have general knowledge of provincial strategic directions and key objectives pertaining to the agri-food sector and the related research programs and agreements.

Other important skills:

• You have knowledge of various software and tools (e.g. research management systems) to research, analyze and prepare a variety of materials and presentations.
• You have project management skills.
